July 2022The Moore Lab was awarded the NIH NIGMS R35 Maximizing Investigators' Research Award (MIRA) for Early Stage Investigators! This $1.8 million grant will support our efforts in ancestry-centered work in wound healing!
June 2022

Dr. Moore is awarded the Lupus Research Alliance Career Development Award. This $600,000 work focuses on understanding ancestral contributions to monocyte function in lupus!

Moore Lab celebrates its One Year Anniversary!


2020

  • December 1: Dr. Moore is selected as Forbes 30 Under 30 for 2021 in Health Care.

  • October 26-28: Dr. Moore was back at AFROBIOTECH! This time as Co-Chair of the Regenerative Engineering Session with Dr. Ed Botchwey (GATECH). She also served on the organizing committee. We had a blast! Prepare to join us next year!

  • October 14: Dr. Moore was an invited speaker at the BMES 2020. She spoke about the roles of B cells in biomaterial-mediated wound healing in the Biomaterials for Regenerative Medicine track.

  • September 11: The end of the N.M.R.N. SETH Grant Writing workshop! Dr. Moore found this experience so incredibly valuable!

  • July 6: Dr. Moore moves down to Gainesville and officially starts her position at UF! Go GATORS!

Dr. Moore and Dr. Elisseeff’s review, titled “The immune system and its contribution to variability in regenerative medicine" was published! Read why it’s critical to consider immunity in all regenerative products!

PRE-2020

  • July 2018: Dr Moore began her Postdoctoral Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in the Department of Biomedical Engineering working with Dr Jennifer Elisseeff.

  • May 2018: Dr Moore accepted a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Florida starting in July 2020.
