The Moore Research group has 2 main laboratory spaces all in the Herbert Wertheim Laboratory for Engineering Excellence (HWLEE) on the campus of the University of Florida. The main lab is located on the 5h floor of HWLEE, with lab benches 3B, 4B, 5A and 6A. The cell culture lab is located in room 568.
Main Lab – 5th floor, HWLEE
The main lab contains instrumentation for polymer synthesis, hydrogel conjugation, analytical balances, a centrifuge, vortexers, rockers, hotplate stirrers. The chemicals, acids, bases, are all also stored in the main lab on shelves and under fume hoods. There is also a cryogenic storage dewar, water purification system, lyophilizer, autoclave, a refrigerator and two freezers (-20 and -80). Space 564 houses the Cytek Northern Lights flow cytometer which is managed directly by the Moore Lab.
Cell Culture Facility – HWLEE, Room 568
The Moore Lab cell culture facilities are housed in room 568. This lab contains two biosafety cabinets, double stacking Isotemp incubators, refrigerated centrifuge, microfuge, water bath, and a UV lamp.
