Talia Abbate (She/Her)

Talia (University Scholar) is graduated from the Materials Science and Engineering in May 2022. As one of our first undergraduates, Talia is co-author on 2 publications!

She's moving to Boston and working in regenerative medicine! We wish her the best of luck!

Sophia Holliday (She/Her)

Aug 2020 - May 2022

Sophia graduated from the Material Science and Engineering Department in May 2022. 

She's moving to Arizona to work in material design for biomedical applications! We are so excited for her next steps!

Daniel Bister (He/Him)

Daniel graduated with honors and a Bachelors of Science in Materials Science and Engineering in Dec. 2021. 

He will be shadowing at Mount Sinai Hospital starting in 2022 and applying to medical school in Summer 2022.

Kathryn Kalouf (She/Her)

Kathryn is a third year Biomedical Engineering undergraduate student who is currently using research to explore her interests in the field. 

She loves to read, watch animated movies, and paddle board. 

Kathryn has moved to the Ferris Lab to continue her training.

Lara Larson (She/Her)

Lara has long had a passion for autoimmune disease research, specifically with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus work. During Lara’s time at Pfizer, she connected with many leaders within the Inflammation and Immunology sector of the company. Lara’s mentors at Pfizer encouraged her to pursue a doctoral degree following completion of her undergrad with motivation to continue her career path focused in autoimmunity. 

Lara is excited to study biomaterials and lupus in the Moore Lab for Summer 2022 as part of the Summer Undergraduate Research at Florida program.

Caroline is a Chemistry undergraduate student Interested in materials to direct immune function.

She loves playing soccer, working out, and having time to listen to music.

Jessica (University Scholar) is a fourth year biomedical engineering major, interested in the immune system’s role in prosthetic implants.

She loves to travel, play basketball, and drink coffee.

Nisha Kotta (She/Her)

Nisha is interested in studying autoimmune disease, biomaterials, and regenerative medicine. 

In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, reading, writing, and discovering new music.

Jithakrishna (Jitha) is graduated with his MS in Biomedical Engineering. He aims to develop regenerative implants that can work with the host immune system to integrate with the body effectively. 

He enjoys spending time with his friends, playing video games, exercising and travelling.
